Originally formed in Urbana, Illinois the group transplanted to Chicago where the city’s varied music scenes pushed their sound in eclectic directions. At times sharp and energized, at others tender, their sophomore album, This Guitars, finds Grandkids expressing their many voices in an attempt at coherence.
