Three is the magic number of musical communication. The dialogue between the musicians is continuous and direct. The sound is pure and essential. It is possible to go from a simple melody to the more complex search for new sounds while the roles of the instruments alternate without preclusions of any kind. It is also the search for a possible communicative simplicity through the elaboration of materials brought back to their melodic essentiality. You play close together and look for what is most profound. The trio of saxophonist Tino Tracanna with Giulio Corini on double bass and Vittorio Marinoni on drums is based on this idea. The trio offers a repertoire based on original compositions and on reworkings of pieces from different origins.
