Akiko Yano - JAPANESE GIRL (2011)

It was decided that Akiko Yano's debut work, which featured members of the Tin Pan Array such as the American rock band Little Feat, Haruomi Hosono and Tatsuo Hayashi, as well as Moon Riders, would be re-released.

The first CD part (5 songs), titled "AMERICAN SIDE", features Little Feat. Jazz-rock songs that heavily use unusual rhythms such as "On the Balloon" and "Telephone Line", which are considered representative, and "Tsugaru Tour", "Fu", which is a compromise between American rock and Japanese identity ... We also develop sophisticated approaches based on folk songs such as "Namati Uta Part II".

The second part, "JAPANESE SIDE" will become part of the history of Japanese pop music later, such as Makoto Yano and Mitsunori Miura, in addition to the participation of members of Tin Pan Array, Agata Morio and Moon Riders. A team has been assembled to carry it. Along with the new musical taste of "The Great Shiinoki", "Herikoputa" and "Futa", which are modern musical approaches using strings and Japanese instruments, the debut work, recorded at the age of 21, is also being recorded. In addition, Yano's unique talent, which was sometimes described as odd, was fully manifest.
