Savannah Ré - Opia (2020)

Singer-songwriter Savannah Ré shared her debut project Opia on Friday, a soulful 9-track dive into love's revealing depths and the hopes, dreams, and insecurities that come along with it.

"In order for me to get the body of work that I wanted to get, I had to dig deep. I had to do the work," Savannah Ré shared in a press release. "I feel like I’ve been carrying this baby for a long time and it’s finally going to come out into the universe." With its release, the stunning visuals for its title track—defined by The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows as the “intensity of looking someone in the eye, as if through one's soul"—blends an experiment in vulnerability with lyrics that ask listeners to let down their guard. "Sometimes I just need more than you can give / Maybe that's selfish / Chasing my past never ends well," Ré sings, her honeyed vocals gliding across the string-driven track.

The single follows the release of a handful of singles that also appear on the project including "Where You Are", and "Best Is Yet To Come."
