Petr Cancura - Don't Let It Stop! Live at One the One Music (2020)

Saxophonist and composer Petr Cancura has released a live recording Don’t Let It Stop!, a set of nine powerful songs performed by a remarkable trio featuring Charlie Hunter on the Big6 and Geoff Clapp on drums. Don’t Let It Stop! is available on CD, digital formats as well as in limited packages with hand printed posters and PDF sheet music books. Don’t Let It Stop! is a reminder to never stop dreaming and never stop fighting. As of this writing none of us have experienced music like we used to for some seven months now, so in the spirit of hopefulness here is a live recording to share with you. This album was recorded at On the One Music - a loft performance space in an old part of Greensboro, North Carolina across the street from a railroad where the freight train rattles by every few hours. The band played the same set of music three nights in a row in front of a live audience. The crowds were intimate and rambunctious in just the right way, which in turn results in an inspired live performance. The compositions, written by Petr Cancura, are exquisite explorations of melody with a nod to soul, jazz and groove. Don't Let It Stop! is out November 20th, 2020.
