J.D. David Fleming is an American composer who has quickly built an eclectic portfolio, including lush scores for David Attenborough documentaries, propulsive music for Michael Bay films, and an orchestral arrangement for Beyoncé. David started his career moonlighting in New York ad houses, writing music for ringtones and liquor commercials. After winning BMI's Pete Carpenter fellowship, he relocated to Los Angeles at the invitation of renowned Law & Order composer, Mike Post. Soon, David began contributing music to major films including Lionsgate's Divergent and the Transformers series. In 2017 David composed the score for the BBC's internationally acclaimed Blue Planet II alongside Zimmer, which marked the start of a fruitful working relationship with the Academy Award-winning composer. David’s work with Zimmer encompasses films including Disney’s The Lion King (2019)and X-Men: Dark Phoenix, as well as the forthcoming Wonder Woman 1984 and Dune.
