Nascuy Linares is a venezuelan musician and filmmaker, with a long career as a film composer and editor for feature films and TV. His original music has scored celebrated films including the Academy Nominee The Embrace of the Serpent directed by Ciro Guerra, Tocar y Luchar directed by Alberto Arvelo and Los Silencios by Brazilian director Beatriz Seigner. He has been awarded with the Fenix Prize and the Platino Prize for best original scores and achieved an artistic residency for young Latin American composers at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (USA) sponsored by the UNESCO-Aschberg Foundation. He has also worked with maestro Gustavo Dudamel composing the soundtrack for the feature film The Liberator, and as video and stage manager for the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
