"Out There" was first released in 1998 and was the second album by guitarist & singer Jimmie Vaughan, the older brother of the late Stevie Ray.
The album was dedicated to Keith Ferguson, who later became the bass player in Vaughan's first band, 'The Fabulous Thunderbirds' ”.
Also there as guest musician Dr. John and the 'chic guitarist' Nile Rodgers, who also wrote the title track 'Like A King'.
The track 'The Ironic Twist' won a Grammy nomination for 'Best Rock Instrumental Performance'.
“His Best Playing Ever”, wrote the “Boston Phoenix” in its album review.
Jimmie Vaughan is still active. In 2011 he was nominated for "Best Traditional Blues Album" at the 2011 Grammy Awards and in April 2013 he will perform at the Eric Clapton Crossroads Festival.
The booklet again contains the extensive liner notes that were again written by journalist Michael Heatley.
