Malcolm Holcombe - Another Wisdom (2003)

What a difference a few years makes. Another Wisdom shows that Malcolm Holcombe has wised up to the idea of dynamics within his music. "Woman Missin'" is laced with an acoustic guitar's rollicking tempo. His vocals on the song take on different moods, something that was lacking on his 1994 release, A Far Cry From Here. Meanwhile "Sleepy Town" is a sentimental ode to a baby being rocked to sleep by his mother. "Captured by Paradise" hearkens back to A Far Cry From Here with its old-school country guitar and simple drum beat. If given the proper push, mainsteam listeners could wise up to Another Wisdom and make it a hit.
