Irish Coffee - Heaven (2020)

Heaven is the fifth studio album for this band that is now in its fourth line-up. Not all songs on this record can be called hard rock. William Souffreau rummages in his musical grab bag. From the song Doing Allright we learn that Souffreau is doing well. But beautiful songs don't last long. In the bluesy Can’t Take No More he is already on a crossroad… Livin 'Ain’t Easy is then a solid guitar song. The song Someday sounds rather Beatles-esque, a compliment.

In the handsome, but dark Alderman, Irish Coffee sounds critical of the legislative work of our politicians. The aldermen from Alderman immediately get licked in the next issue: Gonna Take It As It Comes. The epic title song Heaven closes this classic rock LP.
William Souffreau has delivered another masterpiece with this fifth LP from his band Irish Coffee.
