A very enjoyable group of violin concertos by one well-known and 3 obscure composers, all played well by Elizabeth Wallfisch. The Schubert is the best composed and sounds a lot like Paganini. The Viotti is high virtuosic and enjoyable with a Paganini sound as well. The Myslivecek is the oldest style at mid to early classical. The Spohr is right on the line between the classical and romantic periods. This music may sound a bit strange on the first hearing, but it is really enjoyable once one learns to appreciate it.
