My studio debut (4th project in 4 years) featuring Grammy nominated Benito Gonzalez (pianist with Pharoah Sanders, Kenny Garrett, Jackie McLean) joining my longtime trio on 3 tracks!
Recorded July 2018 right before heading to Spain for a yearlong master's with Berklee Valencia, this captures my band and I at our best yet in the heat of the moment, recorded at Omer Avital's basement studio Wilson Live in 100 degree heat with no air conditioning...recorded all old school, no isolation, no headphones! No tricks. Raw uncut, delivering a lot of original compositions and arrangements I had been workshopping with the band for as many as 4 years or as little as 4 weeks.
