Piero Odorici - Neon (2020)

Piero Odorici began studying the saxophone at the age of ten. After having completed classical studies, he became passionate about jazz music under the guidance of Sal Nistico and Steve Grossman, two of the greatest saxophonists in modern jazz. He then began his artistic career, playing both as a leader and as a sideman with various Italian and foreign bands, touring Italy, France, Germany, Greece, Finland, Canada and participating in television and radio broadcasts.

Throughout his artistic career he has collaborated with world famous musicians such as Cedar Walton, George Cables, Eumir Deodato, Diane Schuur, Curtis Fuller, Cyrus Chestnut, Billy Higgins, Slide Hampton, Eddie Henderson, Ben Riley, Jimmy Cobb, Sal Nistico, Steve Grossman, Red Rodney, Jack Walrath, Lee Konitz, Joe Lovano, Steve Lacy, Billy Hart, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Peter Bernstein, Jack McDuff, Mingus Big Band, Vincent Herring, Joey Di Francesco, One For All, John Hicks, Alvin Queen, Ronnie Mathews, Antonio Faraò, Enrico Pieranunzi, Massimo Urbani, Roberto Gatto, Danilo Rea, Larry Nocella, Tullio De Piscopo ... He has performed in the main cities of the United States (New York, Boston, Philadelphia ...) He has often been invited to participate in the most important European jazz festivals: Umbria Jazz, Orvieto (Umbria Jazz Winter), Gran Parade du Jazz in Nice, Pori Jazz Festival, Jazz Festival in Thessaloniki, Nord Sea Jazz and many others ... He has also played several times in "historical" Jazz Club like the Ronnie Scott's in London, New Morning and Sunset in Paris

In the panorama of pop music he recorded and played on tour with Lucio Dalla, Gianni Morandi, Biagio Antonacci, Luciano Pavarotti, Jovanotti, Vinicio Capossela, Rossana Casale, Gloria Gaynor, George Michael, Grace Jones, Tiziano Ferro, Ornella Vanoni and many others.

He recorded in New York in autumn 2011 his latest CD produced by legendary pianist Cedar Walton entitled Cedar Walton presents "Piero Odorici with the Cedar Walton Trio" for the Savant record label and distributed by WEA Warner's worldwide from 27 March 2012.
