Time Bandits - The Golden Years Of Dutch Pop Music (A&B Sides 1981-1988) (2017)

In 1980 Alides scored his first hit with the solo single "Hollywood Seven". In 1981 the Time Bandits scored a big dance hit with “Live it Up”, which even reached the first place of the American Dance Charts.

Characteristic of the Time Bandits is the professional sound of funk, disco, soul and rock and the unmistakable voice and guitar sound of Alides Hidding. In 1983 the song “I'm Specialized In You” reached second place in the top 40. It was a huge hit with more than 90,000 copies sold in the Netherlands and 450,000 in France. The following single “Listen To The Man With The Golden Voice” also reached the top 10.

In October 1983 the single “I'm Only Shooting Love” reached the top 10. This band also broke through internationally. The single is doing well in France, America and Australia. The Time Bandits go on tour to Australia and New Zealand, because the single also reached the top of the charts there.

In October 1985 the single “Dancing On A String” became a hit. And in 1986 the single “I Won’t Steal Away”, written by Alides Hidding and Dan Hartman, became a hit. In the course of this year, the band will regularly tour other European countries, including France and Portugal.

Currently Alides Hidding works as a songwriter for Dutch and Belgian artists, including Romeo, Ruth Jacott, Dana Winner, Helmut Lotti, Barbara Dex and many others.

On October 6, 2012 the new CD “Out of the blue” was presented with a concert in pop temple Paradiso, Amsterdam.
