Hilel Tigay returns with his second volume in the Judeo series - Alive. The album is the logical follow up to the initial project as it continues to imagine "modern music from the past." As on Judeo, ancient Hebrew prayer texts with original music settings are included.
"... as I was contemplating and making the music, and after years of creating compositions of a religious/spiritual nature, I kept feeling pulled back to my pop music roots. Thus, the album features three songs with English lyrics, including the title track: Alive, that were influenced by the spiritual content of the prayer songs. I think you will find these songs catchy as well as having the same depth and gravitas of the music that contains ancient text. All of the songs come from my heart."
