The Osnabrück blues rock formation “The Voodoo Hoodoo Blues Club” has made a name for itself in the last few years with two good long players (“Welcome to the Club” (2016) and “Wounds and Scars” (2018)) and numerous sweaty club gigs of the German blues rock scene. Now the troupe, now acting as a power trio, around front man Tim Funke, who likes to inspire with a cool voice and sharp guitar playing, presents a live album. “Live in Bremen” was recorded in the Meisenfrei Blues Club and it sounds absolutely live and authentic. Nothing was reworked or straightened out in the studio. You get the eight songs served just as lively as if you were in the middle of the audience. Handmade, honest music with rough edges. The beautifully dirty Texas blues rock sound knows how to please and "The Voodoo Hoodoo Blues Club" clearly show which pearls are to be discovered in the German blues rock scene.
