The World of Good and Plenty by Douglas Good and Ginny Plenty is collectible mainly for the brightly colorful psychedelic cover art, but the album itself is a very pleasant sunshine pop album with touches of folk, Baroque, light psychedelia, and a bit of Vaudeville (Ginny Plenty gets down and dirty on "The Guy Who Did Me In"). Released in 1967, it's a period piece dripping with flower power (and for me, that's a good thing). All of the songs were written by Wes Farrell and the late Tony Romeo who later went on to write some smash hits for the Partridge Family ("I Think I Love You"), the Cowsills ("Indian Lake"), and others. Good and Plenty released one more single after this album and were never heard from again. If you like sunshine pop, you'll love this album. The record offers Sunshine Pop, Baroque Pop, Psychedelic Pop but also Folk influences and is very nicely arranged.
