In January 2019, Sneaks made a name for herself with her record called Highway Hypnosis. Even if it has never been reviewed in our columns, it will have marked this year when everything was going well with its punk-rap and electronic fusion that makes it so original. A year and a half later, she returns with her successor by the name of Happy Birthday.

Once again, Sneaks will surprise us with its musical fusion while redefining the codes. The Washington native is somewhat similar to M.I.A. debuts and Santigold with short but catchy titles such as "Do You Want To Go Out Tonight" by way of introduction but also "Faith" which has something to remind of LCD Soundsystem of the beginnings and "Scorpio On Your Side" to binary rhythms and synths from elsewhere.

Here, she'll get straight to the point and her avant-garde pop tinged with house, hip-hop and post-punk that makes our heads spin. You can't help but move your head as you listen to irresistible bangers like "Sanity" which stretches for six minutes or even with "Slightly Sophisticated" and "This World" as minimalist as it is catchy. A good proof that Sneaks continues to stand out with this raw and intensely creative second disc showing her at the top of her art.
