Dan Bern - Ivan's Barbershop (2020)

Mitch Marine, from Denton, Texas, has produced, as well as drummed, with some of the biggest names in country and Americana music.
When “Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story” came out in 2008 and Mitch heard the soundtrack, he got in touch with Dan Bern, who had written a lot of the music for the “Walk Hard” movie.
Dan had just moved back to LA, after several years in New Mexico, where he had written a bunch of songs inspired by the old time country classics they still play there on the radio.
Together, and with a cast of great musicians, Mitch and Dan created the cycle of songs that is “Ivan’s Barbershop.”
After they finished the record, life got in the way, and one thing and another, and the record sat on the shelf for 10 years.
