Tim Thornton - Little One (2020)

London born Bassist Tim Thornton (b.1988) won the 2013 British Jazz Award in the rising star category after releasing and touring his debut album ‘New Kid’, followed by his second album "The Feel Good Place" which was released in 2016.

Little One is the third release and his debut release on AMP Music & Records. It features a set of original compositions exploring his journey into fatherhood for the first time.

Most of the material was written in the early months of fatherhood by humming and singing the tunes to his daughter whilst walking her up and down in an attempt to get her to sleep, and wanted to bring this method of composition into the recording process by writing vocalised backing harmonies without lyrics to some of the songs.
