Join with Delos in celebrating a debut release starring the voice and artistry of lyric tenor Daniil Shtoda.

This recording also features the artistry of Maestro Constantine Orbelian, the Spiritual Revivial Choir of Russia, and the Philharmonia of Russia. This album melds the consummate talent of Shtoda with the dramatic passion found in 22 arias from operas by Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Borodin, Rachmaninoff, and Arensky, among others. Many of these arias, from operas long recognized as standard masterpieces in Russia, are not well known to Western audiences. They make a refreshingly unusual vocal feast. Born in 1977, Shtoda joined the World-renowned Mariinsky Academy in 1999, made his Covent Garden debut with the Kirov Opera, and performed with them on tour at the Metropolitan Opera and in recital with Valery Gergiev. Altogether he has amassed a very impressive performance schedule for a relatively new talent. The added contributions by Maestro Orbelian and the renowned Philharmonia of Russia and Spiritual Revival Choir of Russia make this timely and handsomely conceived release a must-have.
