Larry Groupé is one of the most talented and versatile composers working today in the entertainment industry. With an impressive musical résumé in film and television as well as the concert stage, his achievements have received both critical praise and popular acclaim.
Larry has begun his latest score for long time director Rod Lurie, the true story war picture The Outpost starring Orlando Bloom, Scott Eastwood, Caleb Landry Jones. Concurrently Larry is also composing a brand new commission for an eighty piece orchestra and sixty voice choir, to be premiered next summer in Oregon.
Larry also completed a TV pilot Monsters of God for TNT network, as well as critically acclaimed score for Sony’s Straw Dogs. Directed by Rod Lurie starring James Marsden, Kate Bosworth and Alexander Skarsgård. Just prior to this was Nothing but the Truth starring Kate Beckinsale, Matt Dillon and Alan Alda. A compelling political drama about first amendment rights. Which followed on the heels of Resurrecting the Champ starring Samuel L. Jackson and Josh Hartnett. All collaborations with writer-director Rod Lurie.

La-La Land Records and Millennium Media proudly present composer Larry Groupé’s (THE CONTENDER, STRAW DOGS, RESURRECTING THE CHAMP) original motion picture score to the all-new, acclaimed true-story feature film war drama THE OUTPOST starring Orlando Bloom, Scott Eastwood and Caleb Landry Jones, and directed by Rod Lurie, based on the non-fiction book by journalist/author Jake Tapper. Composer Groupé’s riveting score thrillingly conveys the dramatic courage within the beating heart of this important tale concerning a brave small team of U.S. soldiers who battled against hundreds of Taliban fighters in Afghanistan. Also featured is the stunningly beautiful end-titles song “Everybody Cries,” performed by Rita Wilson. Produced by Larry Groupé, Steven Wayne Thomas and Dan Goldwasser, and mastered by James Nelson, this is a limited edition CD release of 1000 units. Art direction by Dan Goldwasser.
