When the art rock supergroup Asia broke up in 1986, it left a hole in FM radio that few artists have dared to fall into. The band's crafty, complex, and often indulgent pop confections won it international acclaim and brought progressive rock into the mainstream. The Best of Asia: The Millennium Collection is a digitally remastered cornucopia of '80s standards like "Heat of the Moment,""Only Time Will Tell," and "The Smile Has Left You Eyes." While by no means as thorough as 2002's Anthologia: 20th Anniversary Geffen Years Collection, 1982-1990, the slimmed-down Millennium Collection is devoid of filler and serves as a terrific entry point for the uninitiated.
