Very active in France and Switzerland, Olivier Pelmoine already performed in Italy, Spain, Germany, Africa, India, Japan, Canda and the Philippines. First price at the Conservatoire de Paris and graduate performance at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, he was also awarded in various international guitar competition (Montpellier guitar Festival, Ville dAvray Maurice Ohana Competition, Ile de Ré competition). With violinist Sara Chenal, he founded the Duo Cordes et Âmes, which won at the Mauro Giuliani International Competition in Bari (Italy) in 2002, and obtained the chamber music prize (with first class honours) from the Paris Conservatoire in 2004. Dedicatee of numerous works, the duo has recorded the albums Taïgo (2007), San Telmo (2009) and Chansons populaires espagnoles (2012) for the Skarbo label. A tenured professor of artistic teaching, Olivier Pelmoine teaches guitar at the Dijon Regional Conservatory and at the Burgundy Higher Education Centre.
