This was the debut album for this Australian singer/songwriter and at the time was regarded as one of the best debuts ever released in this country and Gillespie as one of our best ever songwriters.
Remastered by Gil Matthews, this release is rounded out with a total of 16 bonus tracks - Disc 1 consists of the original album plus a rare post LP 3-track single while Disc 2 collects all of Mark's pre-album recordings: 2 tracks from the OZ records compilation Debutantes, the whole of the legendary Black Tape demos (including a lost track that only surfaced in 2009) and the 1979 single "Comin' Back For More" / "Alligator Music".

Australian singer/songwriter Mark Gillespie released several sweetly crafted pop albums in the early 1980s then basically quit the music business, turning up several years later working at a Bangladesh orphanage. Most all of his songs range from beautiful, some a little limited by the era’s production levels, and some almost prophetic.
This album, released in 1981, is the follow-up to his magnificent debut 'Only Human' - it is another peerless collection that would also become his first national charting album and it works well as a companion piece to his first album.
This 2011 reissue has been remastered by Gil Matthews and two non-LP single B-sides are included as bonus tracks.
