Alex Hamberger - Fresh Roots (2020)

"Fresh Roots" is a journey towards love, evoking different emotions and energies all along the way. In 2019, I opened myself up to love, and I met someone who truly inspires and amazes me with grace, dedication, and a giving spirit. She and I traveled the world together, and I wrote each of these songs in different places - from the bubbling streets of Cabo San Lucas to the high deserts of Joshua Tree, and the stillness of Zihuatanejo to the throbbing heart of Hollywood. As a bassist, my labor of love has always been to bring other artists' music to life with a grounded and solid foundation. With my first offering as a composer, I give you a chance to relax, reflect, escape, and engage with yourself, no matter where you are on your own loving journey. I stand for equality and believe that Black Lives Matter, and a portion of all proceeds from this release will be donated on a quarterly basis directly to BLMLA.
