With this second album entitled "Refuge", the Australian guitarist Daniel Hunter goes all out. The result is both profound and delicate, with occasional hints at the influence of Gilad Hekselman, the lyricism of John Scofield, and the imagery of Kurt Rosenwinkel or Aaron Parks. Joined by three musicians from the French jazz scene, drummer Jean-Baptiste Pinet double bassist Joachim Govin, and American saxophonist Warren Walker, Daniel Hunter shares his views about the world in which we live.
