Maïté Louis - Dans les jardins d'Espagne (Miniatures pour violon et piano) (2020)

After a CD which paid homage to composers like Bach, Ysaÿe or Reger, Maïté Louis found Spanish colors for her opus devoted to Sarasate and Kreisler which she called In the Gardens of Spain with the subtitle Miniatures for violin and piano. Coming soon, this voluntarily popular, violinistic disc is aimed at all audiences, not necessarily music lovers and more particularly young people, the audiences of tomorrow's theaters.

Maïté Louis is an unconditional optimist. The violinist took advantage of the two months of health stoppage, as a concert performer or as a teacher to defend her latest album In the Gardens of Spain which she recorded for the label Calliope Records: "I was very busy preparing the disc release. My previous record was not accessible to everyone at first. There, with pieces by Sarasate and Kreisler, I wanted a repertoire close to all audiences and not just for music lovers. It follows a series of concerts, given in past years and which had pleased. We thought why not save. Maïté Louis recalls that Spanish composers have expressed themselves a lot on French soil, even if, according to her, Sarasate has left fewer traces in the collective memory than De Falla among others.
