The latest recording project of the Ron Jackson Trio, "Standards and Other Songs", will be
released in March 8th 2019. Joined by rising stars Nathan Brown on upright bass and Darrell Green on drums, Ron's new album is an intriguing, multifaceted set of new and soon-to-be jazz standards that will appeal to audiences of every age and taste. The trio mixes well-known classics like Cole’s Porter’s “From This Moment On,” and Irving Berlin’s “The Best Thing for You is Me,” with Jackson’s adventurous interpretations of Van Morrison’s “Moon Dance” and hip hop star Drake’s “Passion Fruit.” About Jazz Standards and Other Songs, Jackson says: “What makes a jazz standard?
