Jim Spencer, the creator of the rock band Major Arcana (from Milwaukee), was almost famous in the region. He was known as a successful songwriter and publisher of a series of underground magazines of the early 70s, including, for example, “Freek”. In 1973-74, Mr. Spencer released two long-playing solo records “Landscapes” and “2nd Look”, which attracted the attention of local music lovers, but could not count on greater success. In 1974, he decided to form a team of like-minded people, inviting talented bass player Michael Burdecki, lead guitarist Randall Dubis and percussionist Jim Kitchen. But Mr. Spencer retained the reins of the group in his hands. He sang in all the songs, which for the most part he wrote himself or in collaboration with others. In addition, he released the self-titled disc on his own company A Major Label. The famous musician Sigmund Snopek III was involved in the recording of the album. The record became a rarity (from one thousand to two and a half thousand copies were released). Sorry, but Spencer's life was short. He died at 39.

I have always loved Oh Western Wind. I had got a couple of albums when he played at a school function where my daughter was at. Of course that was the only song that got scratched. Just happen to check internet and found it. I'm on my 8ty play tonight. I am wondering if there is any sheet music for piano/guitar available. Are you able to help me? Thanks, Susan
