VA - Vroommm - Funk Cinematique (1999)

One of the best releases on Plastic in a long time, and a great compilation of funky Italian 70s tracks – with a sound that's similar to the Cabildo's albums we've been selling like mad! The sound is nice and funky, with lots of electric piano lines, wah wah guitars, tight snapping drums, and a nice overall 70's jazz funk groove. There's little or no crossover with some of the other compilations of this sort of stuff, and the sound is the sort that got us excited about rare Italian stuff in the first place. Includes a number of cuts by R. Ducros, plus others by M. Molino, L. Zito, G. Sorgini, and F. Tamponi (for some reason, the notes don't list their first names!)
