The much worshipped Small Club/Trojan Horse aftershow. Whether this deserves the praise and adulation heaped on it - I'm not so sure, however it is certainly a fantastic concert and a perfect soundboard recording. 'D.M.S.R.' features the guitar motif from 'America', and is performed over a completely different drum beat with synth snatches, which make it sound completely different.

The seemingly improvised 'People Without' (which was performed again at later aftershows in 1988) contains a small portion of Madhouse's 'Six', and 'Cold Sweat' features Sheila E's 'Transmississippirap'. My personal highlight from the show comes in the form of both 'Still Would Stand All Time' which is a far more personal and sexual song than the 'Graffiti Bridge' version would become, and a break-neck speed up tempo jam on 'Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic' which ends with the horn part from 'It's Gonna Be A Beautiful Night'. Undoubtedly a stunning show, however if it were not for it being a soundboard recording it would not be as lauded as it is. Sabotage's decision to add the Lovesexy rehearsal is genius as it is an excellent and fascinating rehearsal containing some unusual performances.

There is a fair amount of conversation between Prince and the band throughout - normally when they miss their cue. 'Adore' is slightly lengthier than the actual concert version, and most unusually 'Soft & Wet' is performed. 'Bob George' is far less cluttered than the final (live) version, and Camille's voice is far deeper. My one gripe regarding the rehearsal is Sabotage have removed 'D.M.S.R.' which is on there prior to 'Soft & Wet' - presumably removed to fit the rehearsal on the disc, but making it slightly incomplete nonetheless. Without the addition of the Lovesexy rehearsal this would have been a fantastic release, however WITH the rehearsal (incomplete as it is) it is my personal favourite document of this aftershow.
