Emma Kirky - The Spirit of Gambo (2008/2020)

GLOSSA CABINET is the name of the new mid-price series from the innovative Spanish premium label. Precious and rare recordings from the back catalog are published on it, some of which were not available for a long time. The series and the design of its covers were inspired by the collections of the nobility and wealthy upper-class citizens from the 16th and 17th centuries, who collected and, in their art and wonder chambers, sometimes called cabinets, all sorts of art, handicrafts and, last but not least, natural history created an early forerunner of today's museum culture. Captain Tobias Hume was not only a military man, but also an accomplished musician and composer. Emma Kirkby and Paolo Pandolfi prove that formerly active military personnel were also capable of outstanding artistic achievements.
