Superdownhome is a duo born in June 2016.
The two decide to collaborate and form a duo linked to the traditions of rural blues, but also projected towards personal spaces contaminated by rock'n'roll, country, folk and punk.
Seasick Steve and Scott H. Biram are the artists from which they take their starting point.
Inspired by Seasick Steve they decide to use tools like Cigar Boxes and Diddley Bows. From Scott H. Biram, they adopt the minimal approach and the mix between soft and wild mood.
In April 2017, they release their first eponymous EP co-produced with Marco Franzoni and recorded at the Bluefemme Stereorec in Brescia and two videos of the EP's songs, "Can't Sweep Away" and "Booze Bloodhound" directed by Ronnie Amighetti.
In October 2017, the two enter the studio to record a new product called "Twenty-Four Days", again with Marco Franzoni as co-producer and again at Bluefemme Stereorec.
The album also features the contribution of Popa Chubby who agrees to collaborate on two tracks.
The album is released physically for Slang Records and digitally for Warner Italia.
In February 2018 the duo opens six of the eight concerts of the Italian Popa Chubby tour.
Two new videos, "Twenty-Four Days" and "Stop Breaking Down Blues" (originally by Robert Johnson and a feat by Popa Chubby) are released early in late 2017 and spring 2018.
The latest album has been released in June 2019.
It's called "Get My Demons Straight", it has the production of Popa Chubby, two feat. By Charlie Musselwhite at the harmonica, and Popa Chubby himself on electric guitar while the mastering is by Brian Lucey (El Camino - The Black Keys)
The first video is "Booze is my Self-Control Device" followed by I’m Your Hoochie-Coochie Man (feat. Charlie Musselwhite).
In June 2019 they open all the dates of Fantastic Negrito’s Italian tour.
In November 2019 they are the support act for Popa Chubby’s German tour and in January 2020 they are in the USA for the IBC (International Blues Challenge) and for one of the biggest CBG festivals, the Samantha Fish Cigar Box Guitar Festival in New Orleans.
