Eva Kruse - New Legend (2020)

New work by Eva Kruze quintet, a German female bassist who won the Jazz Echo Award in 2015 and 2017. The quintet has played in many festivals (Elbjazz, Jazz Baltica, Basel, etc.) and jazz clubs in Germany and Sweden, and has grown and enhanced its musicality from the scene.

The two-tube ensemble of woodwinds, alto sax, and soprano sax, which is rarely used in the oboe jazz, has a very unique and fresh sound. Recorded at a Gothenburg studio in March 2020. Vibrant presence, close interaction, sharp nuances... An exciting and charismatic sounding organism beautifully created!
