Smoke - At George's Coffee Shop (Reissue) (1969/2012)

In 1969, Uni Records released the second (last) album of the Texas band Smoke At George’s Coffee Shop, where John Orvis was also the author of all the songs. After many years, the studio staff, who were present at the historical recording of the first album, recalled the musicians as amazing people, each of whom the music just overwhelmed. Sometimes it seemed that the guys were playing some kind of rock oratorio of the future, which would be part of a new life, completely filled with hippie ideas and relevant melodies. Keyboardist Eddie Beyer remained in California, where he continued to play in the bands Smith and Canned Heat. Drummer Phil Parker began performing with bluesman Shakey Jake Harris.
