Tony O - Blues O' Blues (2020)

Tony O Blues has been keeping American traditional Blues alive for over 40 years. He was a friend and mentored by the late great Howlin Wolf as well as Muddy Waters and Hubert Sumlin. He has toured and recorded internationally with Jimmy Rogers, James Cotton, Willie "Big Eyes" Smith, The Legendary Blue Band, Victoria Spivey and Little Mike and the Tornados to name a few. He backed Pinetop Perkins on several CD's including on "Born in the Delta" that received a Grammy Nomination for 'Best Traditional Blues. The album featured a song Tony O wrote for Perkin "Blues oh Blues".

In 1995 Tony's first solo album "Top of the Blues was released that included Willie "Big Eyes Smith on drums and vocals and Pinetop Perkins on Piano. Nearly over 10 years later he released "Life of the Blues in memory of both Willie "Big Eyes Smith who passed away on September 15, 2011 and also dedicated to Pinetop Perkins who passed away that same year on March 21st.. This CD included tracks recorded and live performances with these two men.

Tony O has toured thru Japan, Canada, British and Virgin islands, and across USA.giving audience a thrilling experience listening to vintage electric Chicago delta blue mixing both the classic blues song as well has his own material. As he once quoted. That's why I gotta keep doin' what I'm doin' and keep my soul goin' out to the legends and to the people who love serious blues. I'.m not going to change my style."
