Prince - Sign O' The Times Rehearsal Sessions 1.0 & 2.0 (2002)

An excellent collection of rehearsals from various points in 1987. The first rehearsal here (also on Now's the time) features a couple of songs that were subsequently dropped from the set before the SOTT tour even started - 'U got the look' and 'Strange relationship'. Interestingly, the show rehearsed here had only one track not from the SOTT album, namely 'Kiss'. This set also contains two rehearsals from summer 1987 where Prince teaches his band to play 'Baby go-go' and 'The sex of it'. These are quite interesting and feature numerous takes of the song played one after the other along with instructions and general band chat. The last rehearsal here, from November 1987 (and also on The sign), is most likely in preparation for the US tour that never occurred. The show has changed quite dramatically with a number of new songs brought in, including 'Delirious'and 'Jack U off' in the same arrangements that they would be played on the Lovesexy tour. This is an essential set.
