From its very beginning 30 years ago, Oregon was recognized for its unique instrumental line-up--chief composer Ralph Towner played classical guitar and piano, double-reedist Paul McCandless added oboe and English horn, Glen Moore played acoustic bass while Colin Walcott took an even more exotic route on tabla and sitar. After Walcott's untimely death, Oregon continued, sometimes as a trio, other times with percussionist Trilok Gurtu, and now, with drummer Mark Walker a full member of Oregon.
