Mike Rud - Salome's Dance (2020) [Hi-Res]

This new recording, Salome's Dance, features Mike rud and his band performing with revered player and long-time friend, Peter Bernstein. The quartet is rounded out by veteran Montreal players Alex Walkington on bass (who has played with Joe Henderson and Slide Hampton) and Dave Laing (who has performed with Jimmy Heath, Joe Lovano, and Ed Bickert) on drums. Mike, Alex, and Dave have played together for decades, and Peter joined them in Montreal and Ottawa jazz clubs on many occasions. Paul Johnston (who produced Mike's 2014 Juno winning CD Notes on Montreal also recorded both Miniatures and Salome's Dance. Both recordings are on MacEwan University's label, Ben River Records, co-founded by Paul and a number of colleagues there, approximately five years ago.
