Heike Matthiesen - Guitar Ladies (2020)

As a child of a family of musicians, she listened to operas all her life and first learned to play the piano with her mother, a trained concert pianist. At 18, she switched to the guitar and started studying at the Frankfurt University of Music after one year with Professor Heinz Teuchert, which she then completed with Thomas Bittermann. Pepe Romero became a formative teacher. After many appearances while studying as a chamber musician and orchestral assistant, she has been living as a freelance soloist since 2004 and has given concerts worldwide. This recording is her fourth solo CD.
