Stéphane Denève‘s Ravel cycle continues to take shape. In this second installment of the complete orchestral music we hear the ballet version of "Ma mère l'oye", the early Overture to "Shéhérazade", "Une barque sur l'ocean", "Menuet antique" and " L'éventail de Jeanne: Fanfare". Once again Denève proves that he possesses all the requisite sensitivity as a conductor, and when matched with an orchestra of this caliber, the results bring out all the magic and kaleidoscopic orchestral color.
