Various Artists - Hannes Raffaseder: Turning Points (2017/2020)

Austrian composer Hannes Raffaseder presents his chamber music with this new release. This album contains a selection of his finest pieces, written between 1996 and 2016. Hannes Raffaseder was born in 1970 in Freistadt, Austria. He studied telecommunications engineering at the TU Wien and electro-acoustic music at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna. As a composer and multimedia artist, Raffaseder is active internationally. In addition to his numerous works for acoustic instruments, including works for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, as well as a short opera, his oeuvre comprises electronic music, sound installations, multimedia projects, a film and a radio play. Outstanding artists perform these works, including flutist Eric Lamb, violinist Julia Maly, cellist Martin Rummel, and pianist Stefan Stroissnig. This album is definitely a gem within the chamber music repertoire of contemporary music.
