The Juke Savages were always too alarmingly bluesy for precious inner city pundits and too rocky (and especially loud) for local blues elitists.
The band swerved and dove to the sound of their own groove ... never, ever even close to “hip”, but always evolving and experimenting.
These demos and studio jams are an eminently listenable record of a band who’s policy was “just do it, even if you think it’s a stupid idea!”
