Lucus Trio - Bragato / Piazzolla (2020)

Brienza– The art of music, the passion that becomes work and the talent of three young master musicians. This is the Lucus Trio, the Lucanian ensemble made up of three young boys. Francesco Parente, Rocco Russillo and Alessandro Bove who together gave birth to the first album called "Bragato - Piazzolla". A valuable artistic project released in recent days, published by Digression Music, which is a tribute to two great musicians of the caliber of Josè Bragato, Argentine cellist with clear Italian origins, born in Udine in 1915, counted among the greatest Argentine musicians, as well as arranger of Astor Piazzolla. And the latter considered among the most important artists of the 20th century, reformer of Argentine tango with the Nuevo tango, thanks to the innovative introduction of other elements unrelated to classic tango and coming from jazz music.
“I am happy to present you the first record work of the Lucus Trio - says Parente - work dedicated to two great Italian-Argentine composers: Josè Bragato and Astro Piazzolla. The Trio, composed by Rocco Russillo, Alessandro Bove, Francesco Parente was born inside the Officina Musicale 52 in Brienza, in order to spread our work beyond the walls of our school. I thank the dear friend and composer Antonio Di Fonzo, successful author, for showing us the way and for supporting us in this period. Thanks to the editor Girolamo Samarelli of Digression Music for believing in us. Thanks to us Lucus Trio for dreaming together and today being able to dream is a great privilege ".
The disc, almost 46 minutes long and 9 songs, is a hymn to refined and timeless music made of hands playing a piano, the vibration of the strings of a cello and the blowing of a transverse flute.
A story that of the Lucus Trio also made of concerts around Italy and the success in Europe, thanks to the appreciated performances in Stuttgart organized by the Italian Institute of Culture in honor of Matera European Capital of Culture 2019.
Not only concerts and discs but also an Academy of music called Officina Musicale 52 with offices in Brienza and Baragiano which was born 6 years ago from the idea of ​​Francesco Parente. The workshop as a container for the trio's activities. That is to bring together local artists to educate people about sensitivity in order to contrast adolescent bewilderment. To date, there are about seventy users enrolled in the Academy with growing territorial potential.
