Born in Città Sant'Angelo, in Abruzzo. At first he studied accordion then, after classical high school, he graduated in Musicology at Dams in Bologna with a thesis on the history of jazz, supervisor Roberto Leydi.
In 1978 the meeting with the director Antonio Calenda brought him closer to the composition of music for the theater making his debut in the Representation of the Passion.
The long-lasting collaboration with Calenda, which still lasts, leads him to experiment in the most diverse theatrical genres, from the reinterpretation of the variety and popular music of the thirties and forties to the all-round musical comedy, from classics to twentieth-century and contemporary theater.
He has collaborated with many directors, among whom we remember
Vittorio Gassman, Luigi Squarzina,, Ugo Gregoretti, Gigi Proietti, Glauco Mauri, Egisto Marcucci, Marco Parodi, Fabio Grossi, Vittorio Franceschi, Alessandro D'Alatri, Attilio Corsini, Pino Micol, Vincenzo Salemme, Gastone Moschin, Beppe Navello, Cesare Lievi , Arturo Brachetti, Giancarlo Nanni, Massimo Luconi, Maurizio Panici, Walter Pagliaro, Luca Lazzareschi Armando Pugliese, Renato Carpentieri, Francesco Macedonio, Piero Maccarinelli, Massimo Luconi, Giuseppe Dipasquale, Monica Conti, Emiliano Bronzino, Cinzia Maccagnano, Lorenzo Salveti, Giancarlo Sammartano , Maurizio Scaparro, Massimo Venturiello, Massimo Popolizio, Luca Zingaretti.
