Sympathique, le premier album de l'orchestre pop lounge taquin Pink Martini, originaire de Portland, Oregon, est d'abord sorti en 1997 sur le propre label du groupe, Heinz. Bien qu'il contienne deux originaux composés par la chanteuse China Forbes et le pianiste Thomas Lauderdale, le titre éponyme et "Lullaby", la majorité des chansons sont de nouveaux arrangements de tubes loungy comme "Never On Sunday", "Que Sera Sera", "Brazil" et "Song of the Black Lizard", issu de la bande originale d'un film culte japonais. Contrairement à des artistes contemporains comme Combustible Edison, Pink Martini avait un certain bagout musical et un amour sincère pour ce style, ce qui a évité à l'album de tomber dans le kitsch sarcastique. En 2009, Heinz Records a sorti la première édition vinyle de l'album.
