This solo album is something I have wanted to create for a long time now. I wanted to create something on my own to share with everyone. With that said this album was recorded and produced by me. Every thing played on this album was played by me excluding the sample of the tanpura drone on the song "Rickshaw." This album was much about scratching the surface of learning how to record and create an album to share with you. Everything is not "perfect" as well as not overly produced. I had no structures of songs when I began this recording. It all started on a snowy day in an empty house. I laid down one basic track and built the first song on the album from there. From that moment forward I recorded each song the same way.
I have no traditional training on any of the instruments I play. I feel that this has given me freedom in exploring all of the sounds that I create and adds a sense of freshness to each instrument played. I have always loved traditional music from around the world and have immersed my self in it, listened and watched many players over the years. I have deep respect for all of the players who devote their lives into playing an instrument. I love so many instruments that it would take lifetimes to master them. My love for percussion and world instruments has given me broad spectrum of sound and I have tried to use that to create an album that flows together and tells a story. I am happy to now share this story with you and hope you will take a journey with me on this album. I had a blast creating it and hope you enjoy it too.
