This release pays homage to the Franco-Belgian school of violin. In the tradition of the famous sonata by Franck, Vincent dIndys sonata is associated on this album with the sonata of his disciple, the Belgian Albert Dupuis: a revelation, and a world premiere recording. The album also includes an Andante by the young dIndy and a superb piece by Ermend-Bonnal. Éliane Reyes (June 7, 1977 in Verviers) is a Belgian pianist who is known both as a soloist and as a chamber musician. She is also currently Professor of Piano at both the Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles (Royal Conservatory of Brussels, Belgium) and the Conservatoire National Supérieur, in Paris. In 2016 she was designated a Knight of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, by the French government. Violinist Gaëtane Prouvost studied at the National Conservatory of Music and Dance in Paris with Roland Charmy and Jean Hubeau. She continued her studies at the Juilliard School in New York with Ivan Galamian and Samuel Rhodes. She is one of the flagship artists of the Les Estivales en Puisaye classical music festival under the direction of Rémi Gousseau , which has been held every year since 2002 in Puisaye, in Yonne, Nièvre and Loiret.
