Little Misty - Little Misty (2020)

Little Misty est le tout nouveau projet de la chanteuse Kathryn Samman (Bellflower, Van Carton) et du guitariste Francois Jalbert (Tunnel, Duo Jalbert/Beaulieu, Yannick Rieu). Leur musique est un amalgame de styles, allant du folk au rock progressif, en passant par le bluegrass. Pour leur premier album, ils se sont entourés d'un casting de musiciens exceptionnels: Kieran Poile au violon, Simon Pagé à la basse, Jérôme Beaulieu aux claviers et Mark Nelson à la batterie. L'album, réalisé par Joe Grass (Patrick Watson), paraîtra le 14 février prochain.

Little Misty is a progressive folk band from Montreal, formed by singer Kathryn Samman and guitarist François Jalbert. Known for their projects in the Montreal jazz scene and their work with bands like Bellflower and Tunnel, the young duo stepped out of the box into a more folk/bluegrass sound, mixing it with elements of progressive rock. Kathryn and Francois have been around the Montreal scene for a while now, so they brought together a casting of some of their favorite musicians for this project: Jerome Beaulieu on keys, Simon Page on bass and upright, Kieran Poile on violin and Mark Nelson on drums.
